ABOUT THE BANDITO

Roman Torrez,

a Milwaukee native with an adventurous streak and an appetite for business (and tacos). Hailing from the vibrant neighborhood of Bay View, just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the bustling streets of Walkers Point, Roman's upbringing was steeped in the tantalizing flavors of his grandma's Mexican delicacies and the satisfaction of munching on grandpa's garden veggies.

Now, brace yourselves for Roman's wild ride through the entrepreneurial world. Picture a young Roman, not even a teenager yet, hitting the streets with a jug of homemade Kool-Aid, slinging drinks to thirsty passersby. But that wasn't enough for him. No, no! He dove headfirst into the glamorous world of baseball card trading at card shows, making business moves while other kids were still figuring out their multiplication tables.

Fast forward to adulthood, and Roman was the proud co-owner of not one, not two, but three nightclubs in Milwaukee. He knew how to get people moving on the dance floor, but deep down, there was a fire burning for something more... something taco-related.

With the nightclub chapter coming to a close, Roman decided to unleash his culinary genius and open a Mexican restaurant. Mr. WEBOS, they called it. Oh, the memories! But alas, the stress of the restaurant business hit him like a rogue jalapeño in a salsa bowl. Two years later, he said, "Adiós, amigos!" and closed the doors, leaving customers to shed a tear in their guacamole.

But wait! The story doesn't end there. A few years later, fueled by a mix of nostalgia and a craving for simplicity, Roman tried his luck with a smaller joint—a taco shack in a gas station strip. It was a match made in taco heaven, until he decided it was time to pass the tortilla over to a friend, who now rules the kingdom of Chubby's.

You might think Roman swore off the restaurant biz forever, but no! Like a taco-crazed phoenix rising from the ashes, he's back in the game with a shiny new food truck. No more storefront worries or fixed hours. Just Roman, his culinary creations, and the open road. He's on a mission to serve up his most popular dishes, spread smiles, and make taste buds dance with joy.

So, keep an eye out for Roman and his trusty food truck. He's a man on a mission, armed with tacos, humor, and an insatiable passion for bringing people together over a meal. It's the comeback story of a foodie hero, ready to conquer the streets and leave a trail of deliciousness in his wake. Taco 'bout determination!
